Remembering Peter Steele As We Ring In 2011

Hey all,

Like many of you, Peter has been on my mind. In fact, Twitter has been talking about the biggest disappointments of 2011 and Peter is consistently right up there with Barack Obama and BP. Obviously the disappointment is for completely different reasons, but you get the point! With that in mind, it appears fans want to remember Peter. With Sal's lifelong relationship with him, it would only make sense to give you all a place on the APHND board to post your fondest memories, favorite video, and favorite pics (none of the X rated ones please). So this is the place to do it.

Also, as APHND gets out and about in 2011, Sal fully expects many questions about Peter to crop up. So I am sure bits of his relationship and memories with Peter will come out. But for now, instead of asking Sal questions here- lets keep this thread as a tribute to our departed, but never forgotten Green Man.

"It's bad poetry executed by people that can't sing. That's my definition of Rap. "

American TV is narrow minded. Not just TV I guess...

oh and one more thing... you know how on tv they've been doing all these "People who have passed" retrospectives? Well they're all bullshit! I've yet to see a single one include Peter Steele, RJD, or even Paul Grey. I mean.... i know they're kind of limited to a certain niche, but comethefuckon. These guys... especially Dio and Pete because they've been around for a LONG time have certainly influenced more people than 75% of the has-beens and never-even-heard-of's on those lists. I don't believe they're getting any of the recognition they deserve and all of these networks should be ashamed because they failed to include these dudes because maybe... just maybe they didn't quite fit the image they are trying to project.
There's a recent article on Road Runner's site (published December 31) that I encountered yesterday where Johnny and Josh share some of their memories. It was...interesting. Not quite sure how I feel about the TMI aspects, however.
Do you have a link to the article? I Googled the site and saw some entries for Dec. 31, but they don't seem to be the article you mentioned. Thanks.

Happy Bday Pete!
oh and regarding the Revolver magazine interview Josh said on the TON board and I quote: "many positive things were said but only the negative things were printed".nuff said

I wrote and recorded a tribute song.....check it out and let me know what you think.

Peace...Corey

I bet Pete and Dio couldn't give a crap less about making any retrospect list.....They know who cared and who didn't...most of the people that are mentioned on those shows or whatever they are should never be mentioned in the same breath as Peter and DIo anyway. Halloween in Heaven last year must have been a real kick ass time!!
