Would you like to see a thematic stage during the tour? And if yes, what concept would fit best?

E.g. Type O Negative had with the October Rust tour a nature theme, with snow!

The World Coming Down tour they had a urban theme etc.

Not sure. Although the idea of half-rotted horse carcasses has its unusual appeal, I somehow think it'd be against regulations in at least 28 countries...

TON was a continually running joke, where nothing was held sacred and everything had a dose of black humor in it somewhere (part of their charm!). APHND does have the Serial Killer song which could be expanded on, but the whole album seems to have a more serious aspect. I think this'll be a fascinating discussion actually.
you could have a fake half rotted horse carcass lol.. otep did it really well with a fakes pigs head and she is vegan... i think a definite theme should be death and drugs hehe
True, Otep. OMG, you also love Otep. Sigh. She's just so real and brutal and beautiful. ^_^

Well, "A Pale Horse" is kinda an implied them..lol...maybe a graveyard...or a forest*shrug*...BUT I'm a bit more simple, as long as it's in a black box, I'm happy!
Well, I guess it doesn't need to be a Pink Floyd stage ; ) Nor something I saw last year, a band called Gorgoroth had 3 crucifixes with models hanging on the stage. We were more interested in what was going on on the stage props than the music itself.

Perhaps a shovel next to a half dug grave could imply enough ; ) But thinking about this. Props are nice but hard to change from song to song. A video screen with pictures or small video's could do the job as well. As long as the theme fully fits the music.
Some rotting horse corpses would be cool, though I don't think that really fits the music. Though some kind of graveyard scene would be beautiful.

Same with Gorgoroth, but I think Gaahl is so appalling on stage that you don't really care about anything else.(Crucified models-Gaahl 50%-50%)
i can see maybe an apocalyptic theme with the half rotten horse, have some of those crows flying around the stage, lots of smoke, and embers of fire
(fake) some vultures & thier sound...foresty...dark...peatmoss (might add a smell effect)...fog..etc..can add the foresty sound to the vultures too...

I like the shovel & a half dug grave idea & fake dead horse carcus
coffins, graves, bones, fire, dead trees ....lots of black and grays
This is a very good question, Constantine. A great concert atmosphere is a huge deal.
However, for APHND's first tour, I feel that the October Rust thing is perfect.
ie: Not too much. Put the Pale Horse as a huge back drop and some decent lighting. Not too much, though.
I feel that it would be a great show if things stayed a little dark, ya know?
Bridgett and Nic bring up some good ideas, too.
The vultures and dead trees sound like a great idea!
