Well, just a week before I discovered "Pale Horse" I stumbled across another band. Not new, no sir. Old band. It's called Toximia, and believe it or not, this was Sal's first serious band job.

They made some serious cool trash metal with a nice touch a la Carnivore. Well, knowing that Sal's drum teacher was Louie Beato from Carnivore, it makes sense. They made a demo "Another Beautiful Day", and released actually an album called "War". There is a whole history behind the band which is actually pretty interesting. Matt Siegel (bass & vocals) which I had contact with last week told me a lot about the band, history and our beloved Sal.

Matt Siegel created a full website for Toximia and the follow up band called Dead Image with all of the music for free download and full history about the band Toximia and Sal. This is interesting read and listening stuff.

If you are interested go to : http://www.toximia.net/

Have fun!!

I really love this stuff. And it's free. Uh, win. Enjoying the hell out of "Dead Image, "The Most Bass", recorded 1991, remixed 2006"
People at work are asking me what I'm listening to. This is great.

Dead Image is awesome. For me it comes closed in style to early Type O Negative, but not a blind copy. I talked to Matt Siegel, from Dead Image and told him that. He kindly replied and told me :

"If you read the history of Toximia (which is a long read, I know) you'llsee that the Dead Image demo was recorded before Type O Negative (thencalled Repulsion) released any material. Since we grew up around PeteSteele, and were very influenced by Carnivore, it is not an insult to saythat we sound like them. Thank you!"

The whole Toximia/Dead Image history is pretty interesting imo. I just hope I didn't bumb somebodies head by bringing this band to everybodies attention. Perhaps some skeletons should stay in the closed.
Yes- I am he. I do shower regularly these days though!

And as far as Jackass goes, you don't know the half of it! I can only say that some of the MOST EXTREME things on earth were done by the like of me, Sal, and Bobby & Evan from Biohazard. But I will only incriminate myself- I will tell some of the stories, but will have to change the names to protect the innocent (or not so innocent).
Matt (the singer/Bass Player for Toximia and Dead Image) was pretty sick also! He actually ate human flesh, fried in garlic and butter once! Come to think of it, it was my flesh! I still kind of miss it... (Both the era and my missing flesh!)

: )

Lol! I can't believe this was nearly a quarter century ago! I just recently downloaded all the live shit we did from the Toximia site! What a blast from the past! I have a bunch of pics from back then, but I won't post them without Sal's permission!

- I am the artist formerly known as Toxic Bob : )~

Fuck me running! You were the crazy guitarist that refused to take a bath? "Jack-ass" had to air 25 years later but you were appearantly ahead of them!
When this site was built, this is exactly the kind of conversations we were hoping for. hahaha Awesome!

Oh my god, you were animals then, hilarious : ). Matt Siegel chewing on bodyparts? WTF? I will have to ask him what he was thinking. Perhaps he listened to Carnivore a little too much ; P

I don't know how much you can/will reveal but this was funny already. Well, what to say. Young guys, crazy as hell and without control doing their thing, Nothing wrong with that. Even in my old days I sometimes act nuts ; )
I wrote him too. He has awesome talent. What's the story with him? Did he just stop?
