Sal, was wondering a lot today what sparked off A Pale Horse Named Death. Was it a gradual need to create or did something kick-start the process?

The more I listen to the album I realise exactly how textured it is. Definitely on my "top ten" for the 2010s.

Busy musing a lot today while writing a review...

Great question.  I am looking forward to the response.

There is a dark, intense, production to the songs, which I know is my attraction.

My was drawn to Sal and APHND, from Sam Shearon's artwork, then it moved onto the band, then the music.

I had never been introduced otherwise.

I'm toally diggin it.

It was a need to finally record, create an album on my own terms and have no interjection from others.

Thanks, Sal.
Creative control is wahat we all desire. You were fortunate to have such great ideas and Matt on your side. Just stunning!
Creative control = YES! But WHAT a pain in the ass. And fears, and the nerves. Dude. You are a ROCK.
