view 666 - Says it all. 1. time Type O for me in Copenhagen - September 30. 1994 in Pumpehuset - which were where you guys played one year ago. However Type O was on the stage Upstairs.

my 2. time Type O were surpose to play May 15th 1997 in Copenhagen Venue Vega in the big hall, however they got court at the border in a truck strike. So we all got free tickets to the Marylin Manson which were surpose to be in the same Venue small Hall - but he was moved to the big hall - And not many new who this freak was, me meither. FUN. And we also still keept our tickets for the replaced Type O Concert Later on. I can't recall the exact other years - but also saw Carnevor when in Copenhagen and Type O in Amager Bio 2010 after having a barbecue in our garden close to the venue. We also went to see Danzig a few Times in Sweden, I like to put out the best time with Johnny - and 40 other fans in Mejeriet in Lund - that was a blast. I think Johnny managed to break 3 drumshins during that concert  yeahhh that was good.

I recall,appreaciate Peter for being in the front, without knowin this big Guy, he had this magic power in which he claim the venue. His gone - but difinetely not forgotten.

Another story I have is when I first seen Type O Negative live for my first time.A buddy of mine knows how huge a fan i'am of Type O Negative so he tells me hey Type O is playing in London,Ontario which is a half an hour drive from my small town.It's 1997,I don't have a computer or Internet yet as it was still new then,so I tell my dad I need the car to grab concert tickets,so I pretty much mash the pedal to the metal on the old Dodge Mirada & race to The Embassy Hotel where Type O will be playing with Sister Machine Gun.It only holds 400 people so it's very small,I walk into the venue out of breath & ask for two Type O tickets & she says your dam lucky kid we only have three left,$12.50 each Canadian lol,so of course I buy them.Then the day of the show my buddy & I get to London at like 11am,were waiting for the Type O bus to pull into The Embassy Hotel & it finally arrives.& of course theirs all the gothic chicks waiting for big dick Peter with their Playgirl mag to be signed lol.First off is beautiful hair Johnny Kelly,so he signs my October Rust Cd,then Josh,Kenny.Then finally Peter,Pete gets off the bus with his green muscle shirt on & I'm like holy shit,it's fucking Peter Steele,I'm not one to get all pussy foot around rock stars or athletes,but anyways I was shell shocked,Pete says don't you people have a life?He looks at his wrist watch & shakes his head,wow you people are sad,we don't play for like 12 hours lol.Then as Type O goes into the venue we hear rumblings of we can't play this dump,the stage doesn't even fit my keyboards says Josh lol,so it ended up Johnny Kelly had to use his drum riser & use it to the side of the stage for his drum kit & Josh on the main stage & then Peter front & center of course.& Johnny has this little light bulb above his drum kit to see lol,Johnny Kelly & I still have a good laugh about that show & venue.

Peter was the reason I picked up a bass guitar in 1991,& it was all down hill from there lol,painted my bass up with the flat black & green frets & went down to my local hardware store to buy the chain for my bass strap,& when I asked the hardware guy for just about 3 ft of chain,he's like just 3ft? & I'm like ya I'm using it for a bass guitar strap,& he goes isn't that gonna be a little uncomfortable on the shoulder? I said ya,but I'll look cool like Peter Steele lol,& of course he had no clue who I was talking about as I live in a small town of 5,000 people in Ontario,Canada lol.

Never saw them live unfortunately, but Type O Negative music save me from many bad situations. It heals you and makes you go on and on... Peter was one of the most admirable people, HE was the Green Man. Happy Birthday Peter. 

*Tomorrow I'll get a tattoo in his honor, and Type O Negative.

Saw carnivore several times n type o quite a few also.Music is not the same without big man up on stage.You are sadly missed...Rock on big man!!!!!!

In 2003 my wife and I were fortunate enough to score tix to the fan-club-only show at CBGBs before the release of "Life is Killing Me". It was a once-in-a-lifetime show- we met Johnny Kelly afterwords (whatta guy!). Pete had a ginormous bottle of wine he was drinking from throughout the show, and a small (by comparison) bottle of water. Towards the show, he winged the water bottle, striking my wife in the ankle. After the initial ouchie, my wife got an idea. One of our friends in New Hampshire was (is) obsessed with Peter. My wife saved the bottle, and presented it to her, saying it was up to her to deal with the Pete DNA on the bottle! We also got her an exclusive TON "hospital scrub" shirt to prove we were there and not ribbing her. Awesome band, awesome bunch of guys, and it's great to see Sal, Johnny, et al flying the Vinnland flag high! Easily the highlight of the dozen plus shows we saw from the boys! RIP Peter, we miss you.

Happy Birthday Big Man!  I still have awesome memories of when you threw a pumpkin off of the stage from the October Rust tour and it hit the most annoying girl in the arena right in the face, causing her to backwards summersault off of her douchebag boyfriends shoulders, up at Saratoga Winners in upstate NY.  It really brought joy to alot of people!   -KRYSTOF

I will never forget crossing a mosh pit to stand at the feet of Peter Steele at a Mulcahy's gig in 2007.It was the first and sadly the last time that I got to see TON live but I was also fortunate to have gotten to meet them too.Peter's charm, dark humor, and genuine regard for his fans were unforgettable, as well.Happy Birthday Peter. <3
