Wow, I didn't expect such a detailed answer! ;-) Thanks a lot, Eric!
Yes, you're quite right with what you say and the love letter example puts it quite well.
Used to play in a band and my old Yamaha RBX series bass served me well. Although I have to admit that for our CD recordings in 1997 I borrowed a friend's Fender Jazz Bass. It just sounded better... ;-) Didn't have all this "tech-gadget-home-recording-digital" stuff back then (after the war *lol*).
At the moment I'm back to practising guitar a lot (and maybe start writing some stuff also) and I actually had my old Squier/Fender Japan Stratocaster completely checked and mended for that reason. Great to play it again after more than 10 years. So APHND came just at the right time to encourage me even more to carry on (or to at least put an effort into it). :-)
We'll see when or if a Parker or a Gibson get in reach. ;-)
Thank You very much for a long reply Eric, I see You're a multi-music-specialist, I'm very impressed. I think it's just coincedence You haven't played yet in Poland - Your mates were here already with Bioh., LOA and TON, how's that happened You haven't joined some world-touring-brooklyn-group, yet? Anyway - now it's Your turn, no more time to waste :)
Salsa bands in Miami? WOW! That reminds me my stay there - in 1999 I joined the Carribbean Cruise (Key West, Caymans, Jamaica, Mexico - owesome week!) and I spent in US exactly... one night - at the hotel on Miami Beach :) Next day they took us to Ford Lauderdale on board of COSTA VICTORIA-ship and that was all I visited in the United States :) No, sorry - I remember also an airport in Philly - comparing to hot summer on Florida there was a snowstorm over there and our plane was late, funny isn't it ? :)
Anyway - wish You all the best and following all Your updates. I'm preparing some review of Your CD - I want polish people know more about You and Co.!
Hey Eric, Thanks for accepting me! I post all my pics on my new website http://www.everyoneweb.com/meijdam/ Hope you like them. I love the APHND album, I got one of the last ones at the show. Hope to see you at a next show, Thierry \m/
just wanted to say again how much I enjoyed the APHND gig in Hamburg! Great stuff!
Actually, I also intended to ask you what bass you're playing, but then I realised you've already given an answer to that. A Parker, eh?! Cool instrument. But my bass playing talent is definitely not good enough to justify buying one of those. ;-)
Dear Eric - I wanted to thank You here for being so enthusiastic person, who replies all the (silly sometimes) questions I and other fans are asking You thru FB. It's great to find out about You so many news regarding Your music career - occasionally I found out a couple of bands You used to play with - please, mention the ones You spent most times with (were they all from NYC?), what kind of music did they play (heard about the hard core ones...), why exactly did You choose a bass guitar and what bands do You like to listen to - thanx in advance.
Hey Eric, thank you too for being my first friend in here! It's really cool to be in this special community and be able to talk to you! Now I feel like I'm not as far away as it seems when I look at the map! I wish you all the best!
Happy you've found the record to be infectious like that.
It's our pleasure to have you here, really. Like Sal said, band members are always lurking around here, so feel free to reach out, ask questions, post stuff and network with others on the site.
When I first came upon the site I thought it was pretty cool and well laid out, too.
is a great pleasure for me I signed here, not all bands do these things, that's pretty cool you can talk with their idols.
I'm not even believe you're talking to me.
Be well too
